Empowering women is core to our mission. We achieve this through skills training, health initiatives and reviving traditional professions for the modern world

Our Innovative Solution

We equip women with essential skills, champion their health, and revitalize traditional professions for the modern world. With over 70% of our workforce being women, including leaders, we apply a gender-inclusive lens to all the work we do.

Here’s how we’re bridging the digital divide and empowering women:

  • Supporting Micro-Entrepreneurs:
We equip women with the skills and resources to establish micro-businesses, fostering financial independence and identity.

  • Building Confidence and Skills:
We empower women with better decision-making skills through training and workshops, enabling them to navigate opportunities and challenges with increased confidence.

  • Connecting to Resources:
Our digital platform, Swayam Connect, provides easy access to government schemes, skill development resources, and potential employers.

  • Promoting Wellbeing:
By enabling women to earn, they gain the ability to invest in their families’ health and well-being.

  • Fulfilling Dreams:
We empower women to chase personal and professional aspirations, building a future they can be proud of.

With 15+ years of work in local impact, we recognize the systemic challenges women employed in the informal sectors often face. For instance, exclusion from legal systems and policies designed to support working women.

To help combat challenges on policy level, we are now venturing into research and advocacy. We recently co-funded an Economist research on the policy landscape for gender inclusion in the APAC region across 4 sectors- access to education and healthcare, & workforce and political participation. Co-funding research on policy landscapes for gender inclusion across the Asia-Pacific region ensures that women in informal sectors have access to the support they need to thrive.
