We believe that empowered women are catalysts for cultural transformation.
Yet, India faces significant challenges in achieving gender equality. The World Inequality Report 2022 underscores this disparity, revealing that men account for 82% of labor income, while women only earn 18%.
AT RPGF, we've dedicated ourselves to empowering women through various initiatives, right from community health camps to vocational training. Approximately 15% of the women we support are single mothers, shouldering the responsibility of supporting their families alone. With over 70% of our workforce being women, including leaders, we apply a gender-inclusive lens to all the work we do.
After years of work under this vertical, we now commission studies (AVPN report here) to stir action on policy and advocacy level. The collaborative effort contributes to tackling challenges in the CARE economy, emphasizing the importance of unpaid, caregiving work and collective problem-solving.
